In case you missed them, here are the biggest Formula E stories to hit the headlines over the past week.

Sanya E-Prix cancelled

The Sanya E-Prix, which was due to be held on 21 March, has been called off amid the growing coronavirus outbreak. Race organisers are studying “the viability of potential alternative dates should the situation improve.”

Gen2 Evo teaser published

ABB Formula E posted a series of teaser picture of the new Gen2 Evo on social media. The image confirms that the updated car, which will be used in seasons 7 and 8, will have open wheels. The full launch of the new chassis will be on 4 February.

Updated track for the Mexico City E-Prix

The track for the Mexico City E-Prix has been altered ahead of the race on 15 February. The new layout is longer than in 2019 and uses more of the iconic Formula 1 track. With more high speed corners, the 2020 Mexico City E-Prix looks set to be full of action.

Rosberg thinks F1 and Formula E will join forces

Former Formula 1 world champion Nico Rosberg believes that Formula 1 will eventually come together with Formula E. His views echo that of former Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag, who has previously commented that he would like “Formula E and F1 [to be] one in some way.”
