In case you missed them, here are the biggest Formula E stories to hit the headlines over the past week.

Rookie test participants revealed

The full list of drivers taking part in the Formula E rookie test in Marrakesh on March 1 have been announced. Notable names include reigning Super Formula champion Nick Cassidy and W series star Alice Powell, who will test for Envision Virgin. Fellow W series driver and current champion Jamie Chadwick will also be testing for Jaguar.

Mercedes Formula E involvement benefiting its F1 team

The man in charge of Mercedes’ high performance powertrains Andy Cowell has admitted that the Mercedes Formula 1 programme is benefiting from being involved in Formula E. Despite some initial teething problems, learnings from developing its Formula E car are feeding into the Formula 1 team.

Sam Bird opens up on the race of his life

Envision Virgin driver Sam Bird talks to CNN about how the 2016 Buenos Aires E-Prix was the “race of his life.” He describes it as a “really, really intense” race where he overcome a number of challenges to secure his first victory of that season.
