About

At Formula E Fanzone, we want to share our passion for the wonderful world of Formula E.

Since the first Formula E championship in 2014, more and more people are starting to realise just how awesome the sport is. With wheel-to-wheel action that other motorsports would die for, Formula E isn’t just a more eco-friendly version of Formula 1 – it’s fast becoming the racing series to follow.

That’s where Formula E Fanzone comes in. We’re here to share news, views and reviews of all things Formula E for new and old fans alike.

We hope you like it! Please get in touch with any feedback and post suggestions.

Watching motorsport was a weekend tradition in our house growing up. I was essentially brought up on Formula 1 and we went to local race meetings whenever we could.

I love the atmosphere of going to watch a race live – the tension, the drama, the action – it’s a buzz you only get track-side. Before going to my first E-Prix in 2017, I have to admit I was a little sceptical about whether it would come close to going to a Grand Prix. When I arrived in Monaco, however, I was blown away, not only by how much fun Formula E is to watch live, but also by how collegiate Formula E is. The drivers actually seem to get on with one another! And there’s a closer interaction between the drivers and the fans that you don’t get with other motorsports. From then on, I knew Formula E was for me.

Formula E’s voice needs to be heard far and wide. I set up Formula E Fanzone in November 2019 with the sole aim of spreading the word and getting more people hooked on what is one of the best motorsports out there. If you think electric vehicles make for rubbish races, just give it a try. You’ll be pleasantly surprised, just like I was.

When I’m not writing about Formula E, you’ll find me working as a communications consultant.
